June 2013 - Ayers Rock, Australia

Our flight from Sydney to Ayers Rock on JetStar airlines

The camel tour company next to our resort had this 7 month old camel named Scruffy.

Tami enjoyed feeding the camel pretzels which the owner said was her favorite treat.

This is the rock that we climbed up.

We are starting the rock climb to the top.

Tami had to take a break as we just begun the climb - how cute. lol

Olga's appear below off in the distance (25 miles away).

Tami saying "I am done", lets turn around. It was steep, but she eventually made it to the top.

Half way up to the top. Notice how small the cars are down below.

Tami having fun since we are almost to the top.

This guy needed a break. Notice how small the cars are down below.

Almost to the top.

Almost to the top.

Finally made it to the top.

Time to head back down.

If you slip or fall anywhere on the trail, it will not end well during your tumble to the bottom.

Great 3 hour workout.

Finally, made it back down safely.

Here is our rental car. I had to quickly learn to drive on the left side of the road.

Notice the steering wheel is on the right side of the car and not the left side as in the U.S.

Hiking on trails around the big rock.

Tami getting ready to drive on the left side of the road - oh no!!! I said some prayers and we were OK.

After a fun day of hiking, the Ayers Rock town had a great firework show.

Tami wanted to visit Scruffy again.
